the Hebrew University campus

I had the privilege to get an in depth explanation and guide of the Hebrew University campus on Mount Scopus with Morit Cohen Bar-Neder (my daughter) who happens to work there. The tour took place at the request of my niece, Michelle Spiro of Sydney, since she had studied at the School for Overseas Students in 1973, then the only school on the renewing campus. Michelle was accompanied by her friend from Australia. After visiting Mt. Scopus we toured the Old City of Jerusalem. We climbed up to the roof of one the buildings on Mt. Zion where our 2nd president, Yitzchak Ben Zvi ,had a small room that enabled people to come and see the Temple Mount from afar. ( The only place that had such a view after the War of independence in 1948.) When you visit the Mt. Scopus campus I advise you to see the exhibits in the archeology building, the Botanical Gardens, and the Synagogue. When one prays in this synagogue you are facing the Dome of the Rock, the exact site of the Holy Temple . There is a large window enabling one to pray and see this glorious view and the site itself
