Neve Tzedek

This week we visited Neve Tzedek, the first Jewish neighborhood outside of Jaffa. The best way to tour this neighborhood, that combines so well the modern and the old, is to stroll leisurely through it's streets, stop next to Abullafia's house and The Mothers' House. Enter the synagogue next to Slush's house and end up at the park next to Rav Kook's synagogue that alas is still awaiting renovation and the revival of the learning and praying there. I believe it is most fitting to end with Rav Kook's most moving statement "The most righteous do not complain about evil but add justice. They do not complain about ignorance but add wisdom. They do not complain about heresy but add faith" We should all try to internalize and embrace this attitude especially fitting in Israel and the world over.
